You do not need to own a firearm to experience your My First Shot. We provide a modern .22LR pistol, ammunition, and all safety equipment for the session. Everything is taken care of before you even walk through the door. Just show up and we will handle the rest.

Nothing. We provide the firearm, ammunition, and eye and ear protection. First Shot is designed so that anyone can walk in without any gear or prior knowledge and have a safe, guided first experience. If you have questions before you arrive, reach out and we will be happy to walk you through what to expect.

Yes. First Shot is built specifically for people who have never been around a firearm. You will have a certified instructor with you from start to finish, and every part of the session takes place in a calm, controlled environment. There is no rushing, no pressure, and no assumption that you already know anything going in.

Most students move into Essential Firearm Skills Level One after completing First Shot to continue building on the fundamentals in a more structured setting. A .22LR pistol is one of the best choices for a first time shooting experience. It has minimal recoil, which means you can focus on learning proper technique and firearm safety without the distraction of a heavier kick. It is the same reason we use it in First Shot, so you walk away with real fundamentals rather than a sore wrist.
