Whether you’re planning a unique family outing or a memorable date, The Shooting Academy is your go-to destination for fun that hits the mark. Our range is open to shooters aged 18 and up, or ages 12-17 when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. It’s a great place for parents to bond with teens or for couples to try something bold and exciting together.
We combine safety, skill, and excitement in a way that everyone can enjoy. New shooters are always welcome here. You can come with an experienced shooter, book a one-on-one session with one of our instructors, or jump into a new shooter group class. Either way, our team makes sure you feel comfortable and safe from the moment you walk in. If you’ve never handled a firearm before, you’ll need to be with an experienced shooter or start with one of our training options so we can guide you safely from the beginning.

Come with an experienced shooter, sign up for a one-on-one lesson, or join one of our new shooter group classes. Need a firearm or accessories? Our gun shop carries what you need without the pushy sales pitch. We have firearms and accessories in stock, and if you’re buying online, we handle FFL transfers. Our staff can point you in the right direction based on what you actually need, not what costs the most. First-time buyer? We’ll take the time to answer your questions.
Training Center – Learn to Shoot the Right Way
Never shot before? Perfect. First-time shooters start with instruction or shoot alongside someone experienced so we can keep the environment safe and productive for everyone. The Shooting Academy training center is where Hamilton County learns firearm safety and proper shooting techniques. We work with beginners and experienced shooters who want to get better. Whether you’re building fundamentals or sharpening advanced skills, our instruction is designed to meet you where you are and help you progress.
Our instructors are certified and patient, which matters when you’re learning something new. Safety comes first, always. But we also make sure you actually understand what you’re doing, not just pass some test. Classes and instruction are available for all skill levels.

We’re more than just firearms and ammo. Our online sporting goods store has the accessories you need for the range and at home. Browse holsters, range bags, magazines, cleaning supplies, knives, non-lethal defense items, and storage safes from home and have them shipped directly. Please note: these items are available online only and are not stocked at our Westfield location.

Indoor Shooting Range – 15 Lanes, Year-Round Comfort
The Shooting Academy indoor shooting range has 15 lanes with temperature control and HEPA air filtration, which means you can shoot comfortably any time of year. No more dealing with Indiana winters or summer heat. The facility is 8,000 square feet with Certified Range Safety Officers on duty.
You can reserve a lane online ahead of time or just show up. No membership required to shoot here. Walk-ins are welcome, and experienced shooters can get straight to practice while we help new shooters get started the right way.
We’re open to shooters aged 18 and up, or ages 12-17 when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, and we welcome everyone from complete beginners to experienced marksmen. Brand-new shooters will need to be with an experienced partner or participate in training before using a lane on their own.
